Prize Details

Grand Prize (1 classroom winner): Classroom screening of Igor (Approximate Retail Value: $3,855.00 (Actual retail value is dependent upon the classroom size of the winning classroom.)) In a world filled with mad scientists and evil inventions, one talented evil scientist's hunchbacked lab assistant has big dreams of becoming a mad scientist, and winning the annual Evil Science Fair.

The winning classroom (grades 4-8) will awarded a free in-school screening of Igor, to be arranged after the contest winner notification on or about November 1, 2008.

To Enter:
This Contest is subject to the full Official Rules. You must have an existing, or create a new, Book Adventure Teacher account and class to participate.

Please note: One entry per person or per classroom. Students who are part of a Classroom Entrant are not eligible to enter the Individual Student Contest as well.

• Entrants may create an account by visiting Book Adventure's Web site (www.BookAdventure.com) and clicking on the "New Users - Register Now!" button, and choosing to register as a teacher.
• To create a class if you have not already done so, once you have registered, click on the "Account Information" button on the left side of the screen. Then, click on "Class Information." Register for either a "whole class" or "empty class" taking note of the descriptions provided. For more information on how to register your class for Book Adventure, please view the Frequently Asked Questions.
• To participate in the contest, after you have registered and created your class, send an email to Book.Adventure@educate.com indicating your intent to participate in the contest. Please include your name and the class name for the classroom you will be enterining in the contest. Please note: this contest is open to classrooms in grades 4-8 only.
• Students within the entered class must then accumulate points by completing quizzes on books they have read; the quizzes can be accessed through the Book Adventure Quiz-O-Matic. Points will be awarded for each completed quiz, and the winning classroom will be selected based on the highest average point totals.
• All quizzes must be completed prior to the close of the Contest Period on October 17, 2008.
• Only points earned during the Contest Period (August 25 - October 17) and while signed up for the contest (based on the date and time the email indicating intent to enter was received by Book Adventure), will count toward the contest.
• At the end of the Contest, (October 17, 11:59 p.m. Eastern), each teacher, on behalf of their classroom, must submit a report showing the cumulative quiz score and average score for their class for points earned during the Contest period. The classroom with the highest average point total will win the available prize.
• The winning classroom teacher will be notified via email on or about November 1, 2008.
